Bristol’s local downtown organization, Bristol CORE, is an essential part of our active and engaged community. Its mission and passion are to bring people together to keep Bristol vibrant, celebrate its history, and plan for its future.
The non-profit 501(c)(3) consists of area business people, property owners, and community members committed to increasing and maintaining the Bristol downtown area’s economic vitality and organizing and promoting community events for Bristol citizens. This is done via beautification, marketing, and economic development projects and programs.
Bristol CORE (formerly the Bristol Downtown Community Partnership) and its Board of Directors were created as part of the requirements to become a Vermont Designated Downtown, a status Bristol earned in 2006.
In 2015, Bristol CORE engaged in significant restructuring – launched a major organizational re-branding, sought community feedback in a variety of ways, actively worked to increase its board and volunteer Team participation, hired a new Executive Director, and restructured both its internal operations and its fundraising strategies.
Fundraising, sponsorships, and volunteered person-power enables Bristol CORE to implement the projects and events that keep Bristol buzzing. A town appropriation provides a third of our funding, and we are truly grateful for the support of the Town Administrator, the Selectboard, and the taxpayers in our amazing community.
We welcome your ideas, involvement, enthusiasm, and financial support! To learn more about our signature events, current projects, to get involved, or make a tax-deductible contribution, please contact us at info@bristolcore.org.
